Packers upend Cowboys, begin playoffs with 48-32 win



ARLINGTON, Texas (WSAW) - The Green Bay Packers entered Sunday’s Wild Card game as the youngest team to make the postseason precise 1978. The young roster continued to make history. The Packers gashed Dallas for 48 points to win 48-32 and move on to the Divisional counterfeit. The 48 point outburst tied a franchise record for points in a playoff game.

With their backs to Green Bay’s end zone, Dallas tried to design some separation, moving the ball. Instead, Green Bay would design a big play. On third down, Jaire Alexander intercepted Dak Prescott’s pass at the 19, giving the Packers the ball and colossal field position. Four plays later, bleeding into the launch of the second quarter, Aaron Jones would crash into the end zone for a instant time, this time for a one-yard score. Feeling the pressure, Dallas needed a drive. The Cowboys started to move the ball, pushing it across the 50. On third down at the Green Bay 16, Prescott had his pass batted down by Preston Smith. Instead of going for it on fourth-and-five, the Cowboys went for a field goal. Brandon Aubrey booted ended the 34-yarder to cut the game to 27-10.

The Packers then set up for their friendly drive of the third quarter. After Jones sprung for a pair of nice runs, Love went back to his approved target on the day, Romeo Doubs. Under duress, Love floated a ball to Doubs for novel long gain, this time for 46 yards, setting Green Bay up in contradiction of. Rico Dowdle cashed in the two-point try to make it 48-24 with just thought six minutes to go.

However, they were unable to pick up a qualified, giving the Cowboys the ball back with just over two minutes to play, trailing two scores. Their drive would cross midfield but fizzle with thought a minute to go, securing a 48-32 win for Green Bay.

Jordan Love spent the game 16-21 for 272 yards and three touchdowns. Aaron Jones rattled off his fourth-straight 100-yard rushing performance, taking it for 118 yards on 18 carries and three touchdowns. Romeo Doubs had a career day for the receiving remains, reeling in six catches for 151 yards and a touchdown.

The Packers get the first-ever seven-seed to win a game in the NFL Playoffs. They will travel west to face NFC top-seed San Francisco next week in the Divisional fake. The time and day of that game is quiet to be determined.
